The Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code, part of the Utah Department of Commerce, handles all entity formations, annual renewals, amendments, and certificates of existence. Utah has no Secretary of State for business filings; all registration and compliance runs through this Division. Online filings use the Business Registration portal with a UtahID account.

Entity formation and filing fees

Utah has among the lowest LLC formation fees in the country at $18. Corporation formation at $59 is also below the national average. Fees below are from the FY2026 schedule effective July 1, 2025. Verify the current annual renewal fee for LLCs directly with the Division, as a minor discrepancy exists between the fee schedule document and current published guides. Expedited processing reduces turnaround from 3–10 business days to 1–2 business days.
