Fraudulent renewal mailers
The Division has issued an advisory warning about misleading mailers sent to Utah business owners. The letters carry a QR code that leads to a third-party website resembling the Division's official page and attempts to charge $175 for a business renewal that the Division itself would process for far less. Only initiate registration or renewal through businessregistration.utah.gov, and report any suspicious mailer to corpucc@utah.gov.
Entity formation and filing fees
Utah's formation fees are below the national average: $59 to form a domestic LLC, corporation, or nonprofit corporation. The low annual renewal fee — $18 for LLCs and corporations — is sometimes mistaken for the formation fee, but they are separate charges.
