Entity formation and filing fees

Fees below are from the Kansas Register Vol. 45, Issue 7, published February 27, 2026 — the official Kansas Secretary of State fee schedule. Kansas charges the same formation fee for LLCs and for-profit corporations. Nonprofit formation is substantially lower. Verify current amounts at the SOS website before filing.

Kansas biennial reports for LLCs and corporations are $10 online — among the lower biennial filing fees in the Midwest. Foreign entities cannot file online and must submit paper applications by mail or in person.
