Nonprofits report on a 5-year cycle, not annually
Unlike LLCs, for-profit corporations, and other Title XXVII entities — which owe a $100 annual report every year by April 1 — nonprofit corporations file a Nonprofit Report only once every five years, due December 31 in years ending in "0" or "5" (the next reporting year is 2030). The fee is $25, not $100. A nonprofit that misses its five-year filing is administratively dissolved or suspended; no late fee applies, unlike the $50 late fee assessed on other entity types.
Entity formation and filing fees
New Hampshire charges a flat $100 annual report fee for LLCs, for-profit corporations, and most other entity types — due April 1 each year, with a $50 late fee after that date. Nonprofit corporations are the exception: they file a $25 report only once every five years. All online filings carry an additional $2 electronic handling surcharge. Verify current amounts at sos.nh.gov before filing.
